Vintage Furniture

Do you repair all the small damages and flaws in the piece?

We address most imperfections in the piece, though achieving absolute perfection in a vintage-refinished item isn't feasible.

No finish is ever truly perfect, however, what flaws that may be in the piece will be nearly imperceptible to the eye, my pieces come to you better than they were sold by the original manufacturer, that I can guarantee.

Is vintage furniture suitable for me?

I firmly believe that vintage furniture isn't suitable for everyone. There are trade-offs and compromises with every significant decision, and choosing vintage is no exception. Your vintage piece will come with noticeable minor imperfections.

Vintage furniture is the opposite of perfect. It's not a fit for everyone. If you're seeking well-crafted furniture that has endured over time, furniture with charm, character, unique lines, and beautiful hardware, and furniture that can be customized to complement your decor, then we are your ideal source. Vintage furniture is also significantly more affordable than newly made pieces. In addition, you can customize your color, sheen, hardware choices and really make unique for just your space.

What are your care instructions?

Use a lint-free, soft cloth such as microfiber for general dusting. Avoid harsh chemicals and refrain from dragging objects across the surface during cleaning. Wizards mist and shine is the product I recommend for every day cleaning and polishing. For heavier clean-ups, just a little soapy water (dawn dishwashing liquid) will do the trick. Then Wipe dry, NEVER leave standing water on your piece.

Also, I highly recommend getting your local glass purveyor to custom cut a piece of glass for your lacquered surfaces, especially if they will be high use surfaces such as dressers and end tables.  It's usually relatively inexpensive and will protect your beautifully lacquered/finished surfaces.

Every piece that is shipped out includes a detailed aftercare instruction sheet along with touch-up paint if you ever need it, felt furniture pads, and a microfiber cloth to get you started.

Delivery & Returns

Which shipping carriers do you use?

Shipping includes one small business private shipper to safely hand-deliver your piece to the ground floor of your home. Shipping rates include ground floor/ foyer delivery. We partner with some amazing, independently contracted shippers, and that being said most of them travel alone.

If you should need white glove placement, please let me know when placing your order; specific accommodations can be arranged (but may incur additional charges). Shipping to the East Coast (NY, CT, Maine, VT, NJ etc.) and Florida may be additional due to distance from Colorado.

Your pieces are carefully packaged in the following way:

  • Blanketed
  • Shrink wrapped
  • Boxed
  • Blankets during transport on top of box
  • No assembly required
  • Crating your pieces may be a possibility, we will communicate with you if this option is executed (usually on in extreme situations).

Smaller pieces that can fit into a large moving box (such as small end stands) may be shipped via Fed-Ex Ground.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship within the continental United States. However, we can arrange delivery to any port within the U.S., and from there, you can make arrangements for further transportation. Previously, we have shipped to destinations like the Bahamas and the Cayman Islands, where clients organized transportation beyond U.S. borders.

Can I return my furniture?

Our goal is to ensure you're satisfied with your purchase, but as a small company specializing in unique, handcrafted pieces, we operate with certain policies in mind.

If you receive an item that's defective or damaged, we'll do our utmost to resolve the issue, whether through repairs, refunds, or discounts, as long as it's reasonable and fair.

Custom orders cannot be returned unless there's a craftsmanship issue or damage during shipping.

For ready-to-ship items, returns are accepted with a 15% restocking fee and return shipping costs deducted.

We encourage thorough measurements and questions prior to purchase, and we're always available to assist you.

Miscellaneous

Do you store my bank/credit card information?

No, we do not store your bank or credit card details. This information is strictly handled by our card processing company, Stripe. They manage and encrypt your data to ensure its safety. While no system is infallible, Stripe's security measures significantly reduce risks. In reality, larger retailers face higher data breach risks than smaller businesses like ours. The effort required to breach encryption typically targets larger entities rather than small businesses.
